In this case study our engineers came across a very poor fixing detail. Bearing in mind that this is a specialist field, designed to safe guard injury and life, you would have thought that this could not happen. It shouldn’t happen, that’s for sure! This is how procedures should be carried out to ensure this doesn’t happen!
- Use a sign-off sheet for when the installation is complete.
- Have installers take a picture of each fixing as they install.
- Manage from source, use only trained and competent installers.
There is no excuse for this example.
