fallarrest.com was shocked to see a case study uploaded onto LinkedIn from a working at height ‘professional’ who has designed, installed and certified a genuine MSA LATCHWAYS MANSAFE cable fall protection system, the problem is that the contractor ‘IS NOT’ an approved installer, and therefore is not authorised to install, and the certification that the client holds is worthless!
This brings many very serious concerns, such as how did the procure the materials, how can they have installed correctly if untrained.
The contractors website makes claims that they are professional and displays a list of industry recognised bodies that are supposed to provide the clients with assurances.
In an industry that’s purpose is to keep people safe and to preserve life this is disappointing to see, what is further disappointing is the select few who operate in the industry who refuse to call such bad practice out.
Always undertake your due diligence, ask to see the approved installers list, contact the manufacturer to confirm, ask to see training certificates, ask to see previous case studies, seek client references, don’t believe all that you see or read, and above all stay safe!
Please feel to always be able to contact our team for help, advice and assistance.
